Nursing Assistant Course Requirements

• The minimum age requirement is 16 years old, provided that parental consent is obtained.
• Submit application for admission.
• Pass the Entrance Examination ($15) administered by the school with at least a 70% passing mark.
• Valid I.D and Social Security Card
• Drug and alcohol testing
• Physical Exam (performed by a Physician or Nurse Practitioner)
• Negative P.P.D. skin test or Negative Chest X-ray if P.P.D. skin test result is positive.
• Live Scan Fingerprint for C.D.P.H. (California Department of Public Health) (ask school for assistance)/ Copy of the Request for Live Scan Service (BCIA 8016 PDF Form).
• Must obtain a criminal record clearance.
